No open roles right now. Here's how we hire when we do.

We hire when we have to, not when it's comfortable. The team stays small on purpose. If you're thinking about joining, here's what we're looking for and what we're not — so you can self-qualify before we ever meet.

We're looking for
  • Operators who've shipped real systems at scale — not framework specialists
  • People who've been on the wrong side of AI hype and want to be on the right side of AI execution
  • Engineers who can hold a multi-quarter architectural plan and ship to it weekly
  • Builders who write before they build — opinions, manifestos, post-mortems, technical posts
  • People who think the right size of a team is smaller than is fashionable
  • Operators who've made "the bottleneck is the tools, not the team" decisions before — and were right
We're not looking for
  • Resume-driven generalists — "5 years of X, 3 years of Y" tells us nothing about what you actually built
  • People who need the company to be the next stage before they'll commit at the current stage
  • Engineers who optimise for adding tools to their stack instead of removing them
  • Anyone who treats AI agents as a feature instead of a category shift
  • People who want a process-heavy environment with daily standups and quarterly planning sprints
  • Builders who can't articulate the difference between a chatbot and an agent
How we work

A small group, opinionated work, short cycle.

01

Remote, US-time-zone heavy

Headquartered in Frisco, Texas. Most of the team works remote; we overlap during US business hours. No mandate to relocate.

02

Two-week ship cycles

We commit to what's shipping in two weeks and we ship it. See the ship log →

03

Written before built

Big decisions get a written doc before the code starts. We'd rather argue in a doc than refactor for a quarter.

04

Customer-zero discipline

We run our own revenue motion on ScendCore. If a feature is broken for us, it's broken before any customer sees it.

The roster (eventually)

Roles we'll open over the next 12 months.

Not open today. But these are the shapes of the next hires. Put yourself on our radar early if any of these fit.

Founding Engineer · Brain

When the core orchestration loop needs a second pair of hands

Senior engineer with distributed-systems chops + strong opinions about agent-coordination patterns. Comfortable owning the decision-engine architecture end-to-end.

Engineering

Founding Engineer · Voice

As voice usage scales past current customer roster

Real-time stack experience (STT/LLM/TTS pipelines, WebRTC, Twilio). Has built sub-second voice systems before, knows the gotchas.

Engineering

Founding Designer

When the product surface grows past what I can design alone

Product designer with a strong sense of editorial typography. Could ship this marketing site solo. Owns design system end-to-end.

Design + brand

Founding AE

When inbound exceeds my capacity

Has sold to revenue leaders before. Believes the AI execution category is real. Comfortable with a long discovery, can write.

Sales

No open role today. Still want to talk?

If any of this describes you, drop a note. We keep a short list of people we'd hire when the time comes.
